For those of you who don't know, Jeff has finally started his real job with Ernst and Young. His first day was July 6th, but he had training in LA and actually flew out on the 5th. He stayed there until Friday night (the 10th), came home for 36 hours and then flew out for more training, to Chicago, until the 16th. Poor kid had a rough and boring time. He had meetings all day, a kind of crazy roommate in LA, and the hardest time getting to and from Chicago. Jeff's plane was scheduled to leave for Chicago on Sunday morning at 10. First it was delayed until 11:30...then 2:00...and then canceled all together. He then was put on standby for the 5:00 and 7:00 planes, but didn't make either of them. He finally managed to fly to Minneapolis (while his luggage flew to Chicago with out him) and stay the night there and fly out quite early to get to Chicago in time for meetings. I figured it was the Lord's way of making Jeff and Matt (the other new hire from Salt Lake) not have to work on Sunday. Then, to top off getting to Chicago, when Jeff opened his bag, he found out that his electric razor had been turned on and died and he didn't have his charger! He had a long week but about died when he tried to check in to the airport Friday night to get home just to find out that his itinerary had been canceled. Talk about heart attack! He wasn't very pleasant to anyone at that time, but they managed to get him on the overbooked flight anyway.
So, he did make it home and Chloe and I are very glad to see him. Don't get me wrong, we had a fantastic two weeks mooching off Mammy and Pampa and partying all the time with Lucy and Jack, but it was nice to sleep in our own beds with Daddy near by. Saturday morning we decided to go swimming at our complex's pool. Chloe loved it! She was so cute in her little swimming suit with her turtle floaty! But, now that Chloe is sleeping, Jeff has decided to STUDY! What the heck? He graduated in April, but here I am doing nothing because he has to study for his CPA exams. What is the world coming to? BORING!!! We are a lot closer to being real people then we have ever been in our lives but man is it boring. Good luck to those of you on your way to being grown ups...it stinks!
P.S. The new background is for my husband, Jeff! He told me that one of his conversations in Chicago turned to Twilight and Jeff told everyone that he was "Team Jacob." He really has no idea what he is talking about when he says that, but he loves to see the reactions of people around him. He is the funniest guy I know! I love him so much!!!

One of these days...
Ya know, one of these days I am going to be so caught up on my blogging that not all of my posts will be to catch you up. I am currently home alone while Jeff and Chloe are visiting Jeff's family for Father's Day. I didn't go because I am sick. I have had a terrible sore throat since Monday night and I haven't been able to sleep much since then. I am a zombie, but I literally cannot sleep because the pain in my throat is too much. Anyway, that I why I am updating...I have nothing else to do. We are having a great time with our little family. I did tell you that we were going to Virginia, but things didn't work out. Which, seeing how sick I am, I am grateful for. I would be stuck in Virginia right now, super sick, waiting for my family to come back after visiting all of the cool things in DC. So, I'm sad we couldn't go, but I'm glad I am at home while being so sick. Despite my health, I couldn't resist the temptation of my family going to Lagoon with out me. So, yesterday, my family went to Lagoon and I did to. It's quite a different experience riding scary rides but not being able to scream. But the best part was spending time with the family. We had a good time. We weren't all there because my brother, and his wife, we at the hospital having a baby. That's right! Little Isabelle Marie Savage was born last night at 9:15. Unfortunately I didn't get to go see her in the hospital today with the rest of the family. But she is so cute! That's the latest in our world. Here are so photos I've been threatening to put up for a while now. See ya!

The New Apartment
Well, as you have probably figured out, I am not very good at this whole blogging thing. But I am really trying to get better. My current excuse is that we haven't set up internet in our new apartment so I can only get online if I go to my parents' house. So, here's a quick update. May 8th, we moved into an apartment complex in Midvale. It is right by trax so Jeff can get to work and I can still have a car. It's great! The ward is definitely on the older side. The first announcement I heard in Relief Society was "Someone left there walker in the bathroom..." It was pretty funny! We are enjoying the new place and watching Chloe grow. Jeff will be starting with Ernst and Young on July 6th and we are very excited for that. Until then, we are just hanging out. We are planning on taking a trip to Virginia at the end of June, so I will have something worth blogging about then. I have tried to upload pictures, but it's not working right now. I'm sorry!!!!

Catching up
This is going to be a brief update of our life so I can catch everyone up to where we are now! Jeff and I decided to save some money by moving into the basement of his parent's home. It has been great! Chloe is getting to know her Aunt Chels, Uncle Dallin, Nana and Papa so much and she is absolutely loving it. We moved in on the first of January and we are planning on staying here until Jeff starts working at Ernst and Young (which we hope is in July)! Chloe turned 1 on January 2nd and was finally able to meet her Uncle Todd the day before that. We celebrated Chloe's birthday and Todd's homecoming together and it was a blast! Chloe didn't like her birthday cake...which was quite shocking! She is a big eater! She knows how to sign 'more' and does it whenever someone starts walking to the kitchen! Other than that, I life is basically the same from day to day. But, be excited because I am just about ready to post pictures of my amazing finished scrapbooking desk!!!
So, Yesterday was a pretty eventful day! Jeff and I were called to teach the 16 year old Sunday School class. I am very nervous because I remember being 16 and how much I loved going to church. Not to mention we are teaching the Old Testament...But we really are excited! Jeff is an amazing teacher so I am grateful to have him. I told him I would provide the treats and he could do the rest! He didn't think that was a very good idea. Jeff's brother, Dallin, is in that class and he is super excited that we are now his teacher. I will let you know how the first week goes!
As for Chloe's big day Yesterday, she finally stood up on her own. She has always been a little slow in the development stages of life. Not that she is 'slow' but I think she's more stubborn (like me). So, it took her longer to start sitting up on her own, crawling, talking, etc. Now that she is almost 14 months old, she has decided to start walking. She is getting better at walking while holding my hand and she even ventures out to use her toys to stand up. It was so exciting to see her stand all alone. It's not big, but it is to us! Thanks for sharing in my pride and joy!!!

Our Favorite Presents
The first noise Chloe learned to make was that of a monkey (Ah! Ah!) so I searched high and low for the perfect stuffed monkey. I dare say it was her favorite Christmas present. But, she also really loved the See 'N Say from Grammy and Pampa! She is simply the cutest! I can't speak for Jeff, but My favorite present was the scrapbooking desk he designed and built all by himself. I didn't know he was so talented! I will post pictures of the finished product soon!!! Isn't my family amazing?
Merry Chirstmas!
This was Chloe's first Christmas and our first Christmas morning just as a little family. The last couple of years have been spent sleeping over at our families' homes, but we decided this year to do our own thing. It was so great! Chloe, of course, had no idea what was going on, but she seemed to have fun once she learned how to rip wrapping paper. I had to literally keep Jeff from going to wake Chloe up at 6:00 a.m. and from going to open his presents with Chloe. It was like having two kids instead of the one. After we had our morning, we headed over to Jeff's parent's house to find everyone still in their PJ's and all presents still under the tree. So we were able to participate in their Christmas morning as well. After that, we went to my parent's home and hung out there for a while. Spending holidays with family is the best!

The First...
Chloe is now 6 months old and we have been going on many adventures. I thought it would be fun to post some pictures of some of the things we have been up to lately.
This is Chloe celebrating, for the first time, Jeff's birthday! Even though he turned 25, this is the first one she has been around for. I took this picture and posted it as my profile picture on Facebook. Jeff absolutely loved it...and so did many others. She is just so adorable! How could anyone not like her?
I took Chloe to her 6 month doctors appointment. Since the doctor's office isn't too far from our house, I decided not to take the diaper bag. BIG MISTAKE!!! Two minutes away from the doctor's office, I heard Chloe poo. And, since I didn't have the diaper bag, it leaked out into the car seat. Luckily they had a diaper and wipes I could use, but I had nothing to change her into. So, this was Chloe's first ride home in the nude (well, basically)! As you can see, she felt free and loved it!
Chloe received her very first package in the mail. I can guarantee this will be the only package she will ever receive in her life that weighs twice as much as she does. She enjoyed lounging on it, using it as a perch, and sucking it! Jeff's sister, who is awesome, sent TONS of clothes that her daughter had outgrown. It was a lifesaver!
Cow Appreciation Day!
Chick-Fil-A gave away free meals to anyone who dressed up like a cow. We are poor college students with a new baby, so we will do anything for free food. I drew us up some heads, spots, and tails and we all got to choose any meal we wanted and we didn't have to pay. At first, people just stared at us like we were crazy. But, then they realized they were the crazy ones having to actually pay for their food. Chloe even got a free kids meal (that just means the boys got more food)! This is one tradition we are going to keep!
I just want to share two more ADORABLE pictures and then I'm done for today. Whenever we take Chloe out, there is always someone that comments on how happy she is. She loves smiling at strangers and just making everyones days just that much better! How could you resist smiling when this chunck grins her goofy grin?!
