"Christmas Morning" and Water Fun!

Monday morning, we celebrated Christmas with the Andersen family. This was our 3rd day celebrating Christmas...we were really good in 2011! Here is a glimpse of "Christmas Day in Capistrano!"
The fam with our amazing socks! (minus Brandon, Brittany, Ella, and Liv)

Yes, that is usually how Jeff's father looks at Jeff. I'm pretty sure his eyes are rolled!

There were some fun books given!

Princesses!

The GIANT tub in our room! This was the only "pool" I got in!

Washin off the sand before getting in the pool!

Christmas in Vegas!

WARNING: I plan on posting a lot of pictures from our California vacation just so I have them kind of organized somewhere. These next few posts are for me but you are more than welcomed to take a look!

We learned about our week long Christmas vacation/family reunion since Christmas of 2010 and let me just say, I had stressed SO MUCH about it for 12 months! I was excited to go with Jeff's family, but I also knew I was going to have a new baby (which Jeff's family did not know at the time they first told us about this trip) and I was very anxious not knowing what to expect. Anyway, it finally came and we had a blast!

First, we drove to Vegas on Christmas Eve to spend a night with Uncle John and Aunt Julie! It helped a lot to split up the drive. Adelaide slept until St. George and then until Vegas! Both my girls were troopers in the car! Here are the pictures from Christmas Eve and Christmas Day!

Chloe couldn't have been happier...she got to eat in the car and play the ipad...A LOT!!!

Aunt Julie was learning how to fish with yarn...but Uncle John had to clean up the mess!

Loving the bubbles and Aunt Julie!

We had so much fun!

We made it to sunny California with the help of the new laptop toy she got for Christmas!

A Long Time Coming!

Sorry about the lull...not that any of you really care, but I have finally decided to post about the holidays. At least the part that I have pictures from. I will post about our Disneyland vacation once I get those pictures off of Jeff's iPhone! So, to begin...

My sisters, mother, and niece and nephew came over and we made gingerbread houses! We had so much fun, but I think the best part was...

Eating all the candy!

We paired off and made a total of four gingerbread houses...
Daddy-Daughter Candy Cane Palace

Mommy-Daughter Mansion (mommy's not in the picture!)

Grammy-Grandson Miniature Shack

Sisters' Amazing Creation (with some direction from The Mom!)

And Adi had a good time watching the craziness of it all!

There were only a few minor injuries sustained during the gingerbread house fest!

Next, I had received a couple of super cute Christmasy dresses for the girls and so I attempted some pictures...this is what I got...

I'm not going to lie, I'm pretty impressed with the results! My girls are awesome to let mommy play dress up with them and take pictures! To my surprise, Chloe melted and Adelaide loved it!

Those are all the pictures I have for now! I will get Christmas ones from Jeff and post all about that soon...like most bloggers, I would like to do better, but let's keep it real! I have two kids and I'm lucky if I get a chance to shower and get ready for the day!

Trick Or Treat

Chloe has been so excited for Halloween, ever since we put up "decorations" and picked out our pumpkins. As you can see, this is as creative as I get right now...

Printing off some pictures, having her color them...

and then quickly hang them up! (I believe we did this about a week before Halloween!)

As far as our pumpkins go...

We never got around to carving them. It's a good thing Chloe doesn't understand what to do with the pumpkins yet! At least they are arranged 'nicely!'

We hit up a couple of TJ Maxx stores and found some adorable costumes for the girls, if I do say so myself!

Little Red Riding Hood and a Lady Bug!

The Friday before Halloween, I was able to take the girls into Jeff's work to do a little Trick-Or-Treating! This picture sums it up quite nicely...

Adelaide is bored because she doesn't get any candy, Chloe can't stand waiting around any longer, and Dad just wants to leave work!

For Halloween, we went to my brother's house, had dinner and then took Chloe and my niece, Isabelle, Trick-Or-Treating! It was so much fun! Halloween is a fun holiday but it gets even better with little kids!

I'm glad the snow stayed away until the next day! Now on to Thanksgiving and Christmas!
