Pumpkin Pickin Patch

Last Saturday we took the girls down the road to a "Pick your own pumpkin" patch! It was a lot of fun! It was a local farm that grew lots of pumpkins, obviously. But there was also a mini corn maze, hay rides, apple sling shots, corn canons, and lots of cool old tractors to sit on! I do believe we have started a new Halloween tradition!

Walking to "the farmer!"

We are ready to find our perfect pumpkins!

Stop for some pictures. The sun was too bright...hence the squinting!

Wading through the sea of pumpkins!

Finally found her very own pumpkin!

Going to weigh in!

Tractor and Hay Ride!

We ended up with three pumpkins, two happy children, two worn out parents, and lots of smiles! Now we just need to figure out when and how we are going to carve our pumpkins!

Adi's Baby Blessing

Jeff blessed baby Adi on October 9th and it was very beautiful! Unlike Chloe's baby blessing, the microphone was on and I was actually able to hear the blessing. I am so blessed to be married to an amazing man. Anyway, we shared the special day with two other babies but that's ok. After Sacrament meeting, family and friends joined us for a luncheon at our house. Here are some photos from that wonderful day!

We had some tasty pulled pork sandwiches and veggies!

And, as always the custom with the Savages, more desserts than you can shake a stick at!

My little love in her dress made by her great-grandma! (I have attempted to make this dress multiple times but I can never get it to look as good as my grandmas'!)

So that's what has been going on at our house! We are loving it here in Herriman! Jeff and I are involved with planning our ward Christmas party and Chloe is loving making new friends! I am really excited for Halloween pictures! My girls are going to be so cute!!!

My Projects!

I thought I had no time for myself when I first had Chloe but now I truly understand what it's like to have no me time. When Jeff has a deadline at work, I am a single mom and it's hard! Fortunately, my parents live close and they are so willing to save my sanity! Me and the girls go over there when Jeff goes out of town (which has been August, September, October and will be November). But, with a lot of help, I have had some time to do some things that I enjoy!

First off, a couple weeks after Adelaide was born, I was worried that she might have an allergy to lactose, so I decided to go off dairy. But before I could totally commit, I wanted one last Hooray and this is what I chose...

YUM!!!

While I was staying at my parents', while Jeff was in New York, my mom received an assignment for the church. She had to update a poster showing what materials you should use when teaching a lesson. She knew she wasn't creative enough and so she lucked out that I was staying with her. We had a good time going all around looking for the materials we needed. After taking off a couple of days of work, checking multiple craft stores, and hauling two children all through Hobby Lobby, we were able to finish in time to have the poster up for General Conference!

Lastly, I had purchased some frames for our new family pictures a while back but never got around to hanging them. The only reason I finally got them up was because I knew we would be having company over after Adelaide's baby blessing and I didn't want my walls to be bare. So here is a picture of our "Family Wall"!

But the part I am most proud of is the Andersen. I drew that! It looks like I used a calligraphy pen, but I only used felt tipped pens. So yeah, I thought it turned out nice!

Don't get me wrong, I love being a mom and I absolutely love my two girls! But it is nice to remind myself that I've still got some talent!

Daddy Time!

I start each day with good intentions, but they usually don't turn out the way I plan. I'm sorry I haven't posted anything lately (Liz) but here are some pictures and updates!

I don't know if you know, but I have the best husband EVER!! He works really hard all day but is still able to come home and be the best Daddy at night. I know I wouldn't survive with out him! Chloe just loves to play with her Daddy and Adi will get there, I'm sure. Here are some pictures of the girls getting in the Daddy Time!

Believe it or not, Jeff does Chloe's hair more than I do. And I believe he is better at it! He also paints her finger nails and toe nails and just recently bought her a pack of 24 different polishes. She was in heaven!

Jeff took the girls to the playground one morning so I could sleep. These are pictures he tried to take before they left. You can see how much they are both enjoying it! The park was more fun for both of them!

Bath time is so much easier with Daddy home! I personally don't bathe both kids at once, but that's what makes Daddy so cool!

And, of course, Daddy wanted a quick fashion shoot of the girls in their towels! My family says both girls are Jeff in girl form...what do you think?

India Souvenirs

Jeff had the great opportunity to travel to India for work. He had a great time while the girls and I stayed with my parents! He has lots of cool pictures but I will wait to put them up until he is with me and can tell me what they all are. Until then, here are some cute pictures of the girls loving their souvenirs!

(My gifts included a beautiful turquoise necklace, a gorgeous red scarf, an awesome red elephant, and some delicious European chocolate! Sorry, no pictures!)

A Belated Shout Out To The Man I Love!

August 11th we celebrated 4 awesome years of marital bliss! Thanks, Jeff, for being my best friend! I love you!
